Safety & Emergencies

Safety

We are following CDC recommendations for infection prevention and control (IPC) practices for routine dental healthcare delivery during the pandemic.

CDC recommends using additional infection prevention and control practices during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with standard practices recommended as a part of routine dental healthcare delivery to all patients. These practices are intended to apply to all patients, not just those with suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection

Ongoing Sterilization to Insure Your Safety

Each instrument used for treatment in our office is sterilized. Every item has been carefully pre-cleaned, dried, packaged and treated in an autoclave at 265 degrees with 25 PSI for 15 minutes or more. Hand pieces are sprayed with disinfectant and are sterilized in a cassette autoclave.

To ensure proper operation, our autoclave sterilizers are monitored weekly by the company Sterilizer Monitoring System, Madison Heights, Michigan.

Your operatory has also been prepared just for you

Every touchable surface has been pre-cleaned, sprayed and wiped down with hospital level disinfectant in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) specifications, eliminating any chance of cross-contamination.

This office has completed a thorough training program designed to assure compliance with the requirements of OSHA’s regulations on infection and hazard control.
