Endodontists are dentists with a Masters in Science Degree specialized in the inner structure of the tooth, the area called “pulp”, from the Greek “Endo” means inside and “odont” means tooth. At the pulp of the tooth is where you will find all nervous connections, therefore any sensations felt in your tooth is an endodontic matter, if you are experiencing sensitivity, discomfort or pain an endodontist will most likely be able to diagnose and discuss your possible treatment options.
Endodontists are also great Microsurgeons, they perform a variety of endodontic related surgeries such as apicoectomy, surgical elimination of lesions. Please refer to video content at the treatment tab for a little more information.
